Controller turns on electric backup heat if water temperature drops below the desired level. Includes, alarms, timers, other control output options. Package includes electric backup heater and electronic solar water heater controller with temperature probes. Heater fits solar tanks of 158L and 170L complete systems. Controller is multi-functional, able to accept pressure and temperature inputs. Solar controller can turn on electrical heating to prevent freeze up and control pumps.

Accepts North American and European voltages, functions in automatic and manual modes, protected against short-circuits, over-current and current leakage. See installation manual. A controller with a pressure sensor can automatically add water to be heated. The controller can be set for a fixed water temperature to be output, from 30°C to 80°C.  If the pipes from the solar collector to the point of use are long, an auto-circulate function can ensure that hot water is available immediately. Automatic leak detection and shutoff, a clock, and freeze protection in conjunction with the auxiliary heater are also available.

If you need 10 hot showers in the middle of the night when there is no sun, this package will automatically keep the water hot.
